Christmas Day

We had a fantastic Christmas! Christmas Eve was full of fun with his family. Grandma & Grandpa Smith came over that evening and we opened presents & ate dinner together. Then we all piled in together and went to the 9:00 candlelight service. It was beautiful! It was way past Pickle's bed-time and he didn't hesitate to let us know that. We took turns walking him around the great hall. We got home and I put him straight into his crib and he rolled over and went to sleep...that NEVER happens.
He was ready to get to sleep so Santa would come!!
Dylan woke us up super early on Christmas Day and we giddily ran to the livingroom to let him start opening his presents. He tore into each one - preferring the wrapping paper and boxes over the actual presents. Ryan made us a delicious breakfast then got ready for the festivities. We hosted Christmas this year and it was so much fun. Ryan made the most amazing beef stew and cornbread and everyone brought delicious appetizers. We all had fun catching up, opening gifts, & playing with Dylan. It was wonderful to be with our families. We made so many great memories with Dylan on his first Christmas and I know they will only get more fun from here. I love the holidays so much - can't wait to do it all over again!!
