Family Photographs

We had our family photographs taken! 

Normally I stay far away from yearbook-ish, studio pictures. I don't like the stiff posed feel with the usual dreary backgrounds, but once you have a kid it seems to be a rite of passage. Every 3-6 months you swing by Sears//The Picture Place//Target, and you stick your kiddo in front of the camera. We have been meaning to do it since Dylan was born, but months kept flying by and we ended up getting creative and doing them ourselves.

But when we got the news that our church was doing a photo directory this year, we jumped at the chance to take a few pictures together. Dylan is coming around as far as his shyness, but he still has his "stranger danger" moments! He was definitely not feeling the photographer at first. She was super sweet and professional, but getting Dylan to smile was NOT as effortless as these pictures make it seem. But after some tickling, chasing, and animal cookie bribing he eventually warmed up and obliged. Here are a few of our favorites.
