Time seems to be whizzing by, and every time we blink you get a little bit bigger!
You are becoming much less a baby and much more a toddler each day...although I refuse to quit calling you my baby! The older you get, the more you impress us with your sponge soaking abilities - mimicking every thing we teach you, and even the things we don't. You are such a silly, happy little boy, and you are forming a very distinct little personality.
At {fifteen} months:
You are obsessed with things that fly; butterflies, birds, dragonflies, but your favorite thing is airplanes!
When you hear an airplane overhead you stop whatever you are doing, point in the air, and watch it until you can't see it anymore. Then we wave bye bye to the people on the plane.
You like to brush your little white chompers.
You are so good at climbing on anything and everything. You've figured out how to turn furniture over and either sit on it or use it to climb onto something bigger!
You grin as I sing lullabies to you at night, but when you are ready to go to sleep you'll put your hand over my mouth to tell me to hush - it makes me laugh every time.
You are holding strong with "Ma" & "Da" for now, no matter how hard we try to get you to talk. While those are the only two English words you say to us, you have a giant vocabulary of "Pickle-ese" and I love to hear you chatter away. At your checkup, Doctor August thought it was adorable how you hummed and sang while we talked.
Your vocabulary of words you know is huge, and it often surprises us! We think it is so fun how you can point out almost all of your body parts. You love to show us all the things we ask you to point out. A few of your favorites are:
(elephant)
(tongue)
(hand)
(baby)
You really enjoy your independence, and doing things on your own. At mealtimes, you try to crawl up into your highchair, you refuse to eat unless it is with a big person fork or spoon, instead of riding in your stroller at the park you prefer to push it, and you want to turn the pages of your books when we read.
Your hair keeps getting longer and longer and the ends have the sweetest curl. You love it when we brush it. No haircut in sight just yet :)
You have one tiny little dimple on your right cheek. It only shows when you are super happy and giggly, or when you are making silly fish faces.
Forget walking, you always want to run! We bought you your very first pair of real big boy shoes and you absolutely love them. You'll bring them to us to put on you so we can go play outside. You really like the noise they make when you walk on tile or the sidewalk. I think you feel pretty cool wearing them, and you look oh so grown up - who knew a pair of shoes could make you look older?!
You are so good at sharing. If you are eating something yummy, you'll bring it over for us to have a bite - Chloe especially loves this about you.
You still adore nakie time!
You are our little artist! We bought some chalk for your first birthday party, and I doodle all over the back porch and privacy fence while you run around and play. When you are feeling artsy you'll run over and ask me for some chalk and scribble your own work of art. It always ends with a cute drawing and me chasing you while you try to eat the chalk.
When we ask for kisses you run up and pucker your little lips then right when we are about to smooch you, you run away as fast as you can. Such a little kisses tease!
Bath time is one of your favorite times of the day
Daddy taught you how to wash your hands, and any time the sink is on you beg for us to lift you so you can squirt soap and rub your hands together under the water.
You are slightly obsessed with your giant book about dinosaurs. We read it at least four times a day. It is the only book you will sit still from cover to cover!
You are so silly with your smiles. You pull out the most hilarious smiles when we tell you to cheese for the camera. In the super goofy ones, we can see your giant white molars. I think you are still figuring out which smile suit you best.
You are growing so fast baby boy!
Height: 31 1/2" (62%) Weight: 27 pounds (80%)
